Isaac Okello is an outspoken Sickle Cell Advocate, Public Health and Marketing Officer from Uganda whose advocacy has been marked by Wego Health Award UK and Outstanding Community Sickle Cell Advocate of the Year US. He launched Raising Hope International Friends (RHIF) in 2016 following the loss of his two cousins brother and sister who succumbed to sickle cell in 2016 an 2017 respectively. It was a shock to the entire family, no one had an idea about sickle cell as there was no education, awareness and screening services available. 

Following this tragedy in the family, he committed to increase awareness, education and access to screening services to this disorder. As the Executive Director, Uganda of Raising Hope International Friends, He is committed to accelerating progress towards eradicating sickle cell disease and improving care for affected families and individuals.
